Same Conclusions One of the fundamental differences between streams in the
Restoration Movement is hermeneutical technique. Conservative elements will
argue from the position, unless the bible authorizes (fill in the blank) than
it is not within God’s will (Explicit Authorization [EA]). Less conservative
people will counter with, unless the bible prohibits (fill in the blank) there
is freedom to engage in (fill in the blank)(Explicit Prohibition [EP]). Both of
these approaches have consequences and can result in legalism or libertarianism
if taken to extremes without heart checks. Despite the chasm between each
ideology concerning God’s word basic theology and salvation doctrine can be
agreed upon.

the Northwest Church in Seattle and a cooperative planting of a Spanish
speaking church in Lexington, Ky. (Evans)
