I have read the bible in its entirety this year from January 1st to
April 30th . By accelerating the reading time from one year to four
months, two themes stood out to me. The continuity of the bible is
remarkable and a fresh perspective on reading the New Testament in
light of the Old.

A little notice for those who read RestorationUnity.com - I am on a 3 month hiatus. This year (2008) I am following a "Bible in A Year" reading plan. I should finish in May. I am also teaching a 5th grade (Sunday School) class and preparing lessons for them. Occasionally I am asked to substitute in adult classes as well. To responsibly handle these responsibilities, I have not had time to research and write as before for RU. See you in May (or hopefully, before).

How do know if someone “deserves” your love or affection?
What happens in a relationship when one person thinks they “deserve” something?
Look at two perspectives on God.
Luke 7
The Faith of the Centurion
1When Jesus had finished saying all this in the hearing of the people,
he entered Capernaum. 2There a centurion's servant, whom his master
valued highly, was sick and about to die. 3The centurion heard of Jesus
and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal
his servant. 4When they came to Jesus, they pleaded earnestly with him,
"This man deserves to have you do this, 5because he loves our nation
and has built our synagogue." 6So Jesus went with them.
