Baptism The " Christian Courier" has two excellent articles by Wayne Jackson concerning the use of the preposition "eis" in Greek. The first article deals with Acts 2:38 and the second with Matthew 12:41. From the article, It has long been known that denominationalists, welded to the theory of
salvation by “faith alone, ” repudiate the connection between baptism
and the forgiveness of sins. Some, formally sound on this issue, now
are capitulating to sectarian error. Take a brief look at this issue
with us. Write Comment (0 Comments) |

John A. Meisenbach tells the story of two congregations merging in Tampa. Although these two churches are from the same stream of the Restoration Movement, the Independent Christian Churches, some common characteristics and results continue to surface. “With humility and vision, they are leading our attempt to become a church that can minister more effectively in south Tampa.” (My emphasis.) Every instance of congregational cooperation has humility as the main ingredient and greater outreach potential as the outcome. Thanks to the Christian Standard for publishing this encouraging article.
