Unity in Action
John 17:23 (b) May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. 1 Corinthians 3:7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.

Recently, God allowed me to participate in watering a couple seeds planted elsewhere. God made them  grow and they were baptized (Acts 2:38). The “planting” was by a church of Christ in another state. Watering was in another church of Christ. Further watering continued in a "Boston" heritage congregation.

Differences were not the focuses among those who were helping the couple become Christians.  A common goal of Matthew 22:39, “'Love your neighbor as yourself'”, was at the forefront. Unity centered on helping souls go to heaven.

Unity in action, helping fulfill the “Great Commission” of Matthew 29:18-20 and fulfilling the greatest command; " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." (Matthew 22:37-40)

When we all realize that we are on the same side, and when we act like that, it is a beautiful thing!

Psalm 133:1 How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!
