Another sect has surfaced within the Restoration Movement. Mr. McKean (former leader of the International Church of Christ [ICOC]) has announced his official split with congregations from the former ICOC. He will engage in establishing a new branch within the churches of Christ. Interestingly, the churches from whom he is splitting already announced their condemnation of Mr. McKean's divisive attitude. However, perhaps good can come out of this.
Philippians 1:18 What does it matter? Just that in every way, whether out of false motives or true, Christ is proclaimed. And in this I rejoice. Yes, and I will rejoice.
10/21/2006 Addendum: Mr. McKean and those imitating his behavior of divisiveness are marked by the L.A. Church of Christ.
