From the Christian Standard

The Christian Standard has the first two articles in their series about Open Theism. Because Restoration theology tends not to neatly fall into Calvinism or Arminianism, this is worth a read. You may not agree with the premise of this line of thinking and describing God, but when it appears in your local fellowship or in the latest book your reading, you will have familiarity with the subject.

The articles are "Does God Know the Word 'Perhaps'? (Part 1)" and "Open to Open Theism (Part 1)".

The recent article referred to as Open Theism in the Christian Standard is a scholarly contribution and I believe the way that many in the Restoration Movement view this.

I remember about 3 years ago when discussing Calvinism and Arminianism with the Late Dr. Byron Lambert. Dr. Lambert told me that the Restoration Movement was indeed Arminian in their Theological template (something that I had discovered but he substantiated).

In my opinion the Restoration Movement is Arminian by default and readily falls into the 5 articles of the Arminian Remonstrance of 1610. The Restoration church by nature utilizes and Arminian Theological Template and many would bulk to know that they actually have any template at all.

From someone that came from outside of the Restoration movement the Arminian nature of this movement is overwhelming.

Ordo Salutis and what people believe about this directs how we think, and worship and sets our view of God and our place before him.
