According to DallasNews.com, Max Lucado will no longer serve as senior minister of the Oak Hills Church in San Antonio. The article states,
"Citing health reasons, prolific Christian author Max Lucado is stepping aside as senior pastor of his San Antonio megachurch but plans to continue writing at least one new book each year."
The entire article is here.
Max Lucado became a controversial figure within the churches of Christ when his congregation dropped the "of Christ" from the name making it a more generic community church sounding title. His ambivalent stance on baptism and salvation has drawn the ire of many within the Restoration Movement as well.
