Occasionally I receive emails about Restoration Unity progress. What follows is one such correspondence. Due to the sometimes sensitive nature of inter congregational dialogs, the names and locations have been removed.

Hi Phil,
Emailed you last year regarding queries about ICOC and COC mutual meetings and such. Seems like there have been many discussions in the US. Discussions in ##### have not really moved forward between the two group after several talks between "leaders" of the groups early last year. Any meetings and discussions are taking place in one on one areas, not "nationwide".

Wanted to give you an update on some happenings, as well as some observations:
Here in #####, #####, our small congregation (40) has had several good meetings with the local COC. We have had several baptisms in their church building, had a joint service and used their building for a weekend conference and a wedding! I was even invited to speak at the Christian College (COC) here.

Just as I'm sure the churches of Christ vary in the US, for the most part, the ##### group is quite conservative. I have read the several COC are now using instruments there, but not here.  Our church members here have been "converted" from the world (as I) and are "well rounded" in their thinking. Meaning music, sports, life,... Many in the COC have been brought up in the church and have different views/perspectives, which is OK. Differences are obvious among us. Yet, we are respecting our differences (worship style, social thinking..), and accepting our "past difficult relationships" here in #####. We acknowledge that a "union" would be difficult and possibly "confusing" for many, and as such prefer friendships and discussions.

Take Care and God Bless
