Alan Rouse has written a thought provoking essay about discerning one’s doctrine and what is essential for us within the Restoration Movement to work together. The starting points he uses are from a sermon by Mark Dever (not from a Restoration church). Alan expands and fits Dever’s lesson to a Stone-Campbell perspective and provides some suggestions for those in the church of Christ, Christian churches and ICOC to work together. The essay is here.
