ImageTwo articles from the Christian Standard explore unity among Christians. Two Christians Pursue Paths to Unity: "Christians, Anyway . . .", by Rees Bryant challenges the reader to remember that we all carry “cultural baggage” into the church. Rees also takes on the assumption that “hermeneutics was not let down from Heaven”.

William Westfall shares his experiences on the mission field and finally as a campus minister. He relates the successes in unity among Restoration Movement congregations at Boise State University. William also shares of the cooperation with those outside the Stone-Campbell circle. Unfortunately, his comments toward the end of the essay smack of ecumenicalism.

Certainly working with other groups is great and should not be prevented. However, the bible does make a clear distinction between those who are in God and those who are not. The two areas of concern are theology; "Who is God?" and "How do I relate to Him?" - repentence (love God, love people) and baptism.
