Some scriptures (NIV) on which to meditate:
1 Chronicles 16:34 Give thanks to
the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
1 Chronicles 16:35 Cry out, "Save
us, O God our Savior; gather us and deliver us from the nations,
that we may give thanks to your holy name, that we may glory in your
praise."
Psalm 28:7 The LORD is my strength
and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart
leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.
Psalm 30:12 that my heart may sing
to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks
forever.
- Isaiah 12:4 In that day you will
say: "Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known
among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is
exalted.

Jeremiah 33:11 the sounds of joy
and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom, and the voices of
those who bring thank offerings to the house of the LORD, saying,
"Give thanks to the LORD Almighty, for the LORD is good; his
love endures forever." For I will restore the fortunes of the
land as they were before,' says the LORD.

Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying,

Ephesians 5:19-21 19Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and

made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every
occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving

first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving

we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
