 Steve Staten, teacher and evangelist
with the Chicago Church of Christ, preaches and teaches a
presentation on “Who is my Brother?”. The Chicago Church of
Christ has had coordinated events and cooperation with non ICOC
churches in the recent past. Steve has made church unity (within the
borders of the ICOC and beyond) a specialty of study for himself for
years (see his paper on early church unity, here) and is a respected
within the ICOC fellowship.
Although his message does not address
the issue of meeting separately because of different ideologies (see
Jack Reese's take on Romans in, “The Body Broken”), he does
present a well rounded attitude toward others who are brothers
outside of the ICOC. Anytime humility is preached, Godliness cannot
be far away.
I would recommend taking in his lesson.
