Image"Six Megathemes Emerge from Barna Group Research in 2010" by the Barna Group explores emerging trends in our "Christian" religious landscape.

The Six Themes are...
  • The Christian Church is becoming less theologically literate
  • Christians are becoming more ingrown and less outreach-oriented.
  • Growing numbers of people are less interested in spiritual principles and more desirous of learning pragmatic solutions for life.
  • Among Christians, interest in participating in community action is escalating.
  • The postmodern insistence on tolerance is winning over the Christian Church.
  • The influence of Christianity on culture and individual lives is largely invisible. Certainly, these are issues which I personally have had to deal with (or embrace, like number 4). It is worth a read as, I believe, it is relevant to our fellowship.

This is obvioudly very disappointing. One question. When you say "Christian Church" are you referring to the Christian Church of the Restoration Movement, or just the general "Christian" church?
