My name is Phil Spadaro and RestorationUnity.com was
developed to promote unity among Restoration Movement churches. It is not a site
about ecumenicalism, but about unity without compromising core convictions. John
17:23b May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you
sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me and Luke 10:27 He answered: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind' ; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' "
The theology of church
of Christ, Independent Christian
Church / Church of Christ
(Instrumental) and ICOC do not differ. Their view of God, Jesus and the Holy
Spirit is consistent with one another and the Bible. Ephesians 4, 4There is one
body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called—
5one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6one God and Father of all, who is over all
and through all and in all. Faith, repentance, baptism (immersion) for the
forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:28) and continued obedience (Mark 4:17) are also common among these congregations. If the
elements of theology and core salvation doctrine are the same, why can’t there
be unity?
Because the Disciples of Christ (also a Restoration Movement
church) do not hold the same core convictions about salvation doctrine, they are
not intended to be part of the vision of this website.
If you are unfamiliar with faith, repentance, baptism (immersion)
for the remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit or anything else addressed
at RestorationUnity.com, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Phil Spadaro
